Summer food and wine are still front page in food sections around the country - here's a peek...

In Washington, D.C., it's high summer, and Mollie Katzen is talking about grilling vegetables. There's a recipe for salmon with olives, a discussion of salads and a feature on the food of New Orleans.

With all this grilling our grills probably need a thorough cleaning. That's a top subject in Lincoln, Nebraska, with good tips for greasy grills. They also have a video recipe for Frosty Strawberry Creme Pie and tips for grilling fish and perfect steaks on that clean grill.

They are featuring white wines for summer in California at the LA Times. There's recipes and a feature on cool white wine gelees for supper and dessert, and some intriguing white wine choices to accompany summer food like Lucques' grilled cheese sandwich and these cheese pairings.

In Utah they celebrate their farmers' markets (and riff on Utah's reputation for Jello salads) with a recipe for Tomato Aspic. They also have recipes for beer-battered fish tacos and suggestions for all those fresh apricots.
