Quick Facts

Who wrote it: Lissa Lucas & Traci Torres

Who published it: Rodale

Other highlights: This guide lays it all out for you — choosing breeds, raising chicks, building and maintaining a coop, dealing with predators….the whole gamut of chicken-raising! I love Lissa and Traci’s supportive, encouraging style throughout the book — they give all the dry facts, but manage to keep it upbeat and interesting. I found the whole book very accessible, engaging, and a very nice leap from the other textbook-esque chicken manuals out there.
