    Quick Facts

Who wrote it: Cathal Armstrong & David Hagedorn

Who published it: Ten Speed Press

    Number of recipes: 130

    Other highlights:

This cookbook is arranged not around particular meals of the day or key ingredients, but rather around occasions and celebrations: rugby matches, birthdays, Fish Fridays, and yes, Saint Patrick’s Day. I feel like this message of “a meal is to be shared” is almost as central to this cookbook as potatoes, seafood and good Irish cream.

I admit that I don’t know much about how “real” Irish cuisine looks or tastes. Until I can get there myself, this cookbook with its gorgeous photos and tasty-sounding recipes seems like a fantastic way to start.
