Q: In true 1950s style, my husband's Big Boss and his wife are coming to dinner this Friday. We live in Florida so dining will be outdoors and very casual, but it still needs to be reasonably memorable and (I hope) mega delicious. Do you have any ideas on what I could serve for dinner?
I've recently started making cheese at home so am hoping to serve a small selection of non-fancy cheeses with some homemade bread as an appetizer (a finger food starter seems appropriate for our shorts and t-shirts soiree).
Any help you can offer will be most appreciated.
