My Favorite Hot Water Kettle

Now that it is truly chilly out, I thought I would revisit my most-used appliance and give you an update on how it has been working for me. This electric kettle has been in use at my house for over six years, and it's still going strong. Here's why I like it.

An electric kettle is a wonderful thing. It heats water faster and more efficiently than a stovetop kettle, and, in this case, you can set it to various temperatures. It has preset temperatures for green, white, oolong, and black teas, as well as coffee. My husband uses this to brew French press coffee every morning, and the kettle heats the water to the right temperature to extract the brew without burning it.

The kettle itself is heavy and handsome, and it lifts off the base to refill.

Overall this has been a terrific kettle; it works reliably and has for over six years.
