This Wildly Simple Hack Will Turn Your Muffin Tin into a Donut Pan with Ease
As someone who is new to the marvelous world of cooking and baking, a frequent problem I run into is not having the right kitchenware at my disposal. As I learn new recipes, I tend to realize that there is a tool I do not yet have in my proverbial kitchen belt. In an attempt to not break the bank, I have been slowly acquiring the pieces I need, which in turn leaves a lot of room for creativity in my kitchen.
Thankfully for me, there’s always a tutorial on social media showing me how to take the pieces that I do have and make them work in multiple ways that I didn’t expect. And this time, I have none other than Pillsbury’s Funfetti brand to thank them for my latest revelation: a Donut Pan Hack that I truly cannot wait to try out.
According to a video the brand posted on their official Instagram account, if you find yourself wanting to make donuts but do not have the right pan, all you really need is a muffin pan and some tin foil to set you off to the races. Here’s how it works:
You’ll take a piece of foil and fold it into a long strip. Roll that strip into a tube shape and place it in the center of a muffin cavity. Prepare your donut mix and fill in the muffin cavities around your foil centers. Bake and enjoy! Simple, right? Don’t worry, I was blown away, too!
Simple hacks like this really open up the possibilities in the kitchen and truly get me excited to experiment. To be honest, I’m still loving both this simple baking hack that will leave your muffin tops bigger and better than they have ever been and this easy trick to fix hardened or clumpy spices. Nothing like a good hack to make life easier, am I right?
