Mountain Dew’s willingness to push the boundaries of flavor never ceases to amaze me. In a world full of classic flavors, they opted for an entirely new spin.

When I was a child, I didn’t quite understand how to describe its taste succinctly, but I knew I liked it. And now, the same brand that made every trip to Taco Bell a blast is unexpectedly returning to the hot sauce game.

In 2020, Mountain Dew teamed up with NBA star Joel Embiid for a limited-edition hot sauce based on its traditional flavor. This time, though, the soda giant will bring the heat with inspiration from their wildly popular Baja Blast flavor. Excited? You should be!

To celebrate National Hot Sauce Day (January 22), the tropical lime flavor of Mountain Dew Baja Blast collides with the heat of habanero peppers, green chiles, and spicy jalapeño peppers to transport your taste buds on a unique, flavor-filled journey.  

By now you’re probably ready to get your hands on a bottle, but doing so won’t be as simple as stopping by your local grocery store. In order to secure one of the 750 bottles available, you can enter for a chance to win on their website until February 8.
