Keep Movie Night Simple and Serve This Easy Soup

You’ve decided to watch a movie tonight at the coziest theater in town: your living room. You’re into it, your partner’s into it, and the kids are…well, they’re not actively fighting it, which counts as a win. But even if everyone has put their phones on silent, wrapped themselves in their own blanket, and called dibs on a particular side of the sofa, you still have to deal with the hardest part: deciding what to watch.

If you’re like us, the first part of movie night involves scrolling (and scrolling and scrolling) through Netflix’s entire main menu to see what’s new, what’s popular, and…whatever that thing with the flying sharks is. There’s a buzzed-about comedy, but you just read a review that gave it zero stars. There’s an award-winning period piece, but no one else wants three hours of powdered wigs tonight. There’s a teen vampire romance but, uh, it’s a teen vampire romance.

Good thing you’re settled in: fuzzy slippers, cozy sweats, big blankets, and comfort food are what movie night is all about. And with all due respect to popcorn, a chilly evening in calls for something a little warmer.

Idahoan Steakhouse® Creamy Potato Soup is comfort food made easy: It will be ready in less time than it takes to scroll Netflix for the third time but still has the rich flavor you’d expect from the soups at your favorite restaurant. (That’s thanks to the real Idaho® potatoes, flavorful seasonings, and rich cheeses!) Each Idahoan Steakhouse® Soup cooks up quickly in just one pot — because movie night doesn’t mean you should be stuck at the stovetop. (And January is National Soup Month, after all.)

Just one hint: It’s probably for the best if you quietly serve the Creamy Potato Soup without mentioning that there are three other Idahoan Steakhouse® Soups flavors. Because someone will want Cheddar Broccoli Potato or Cheddar Potato instead, or you’ll have to referee an argument over who gets the last bowl of Loaded Potato — and the last time you allowed your family to make choices you found yourself watching the flying shark movie.
