The rise in craft breweries has put a damper on Guinness’s profits over the past few years. To counteract that trend, the Irish company has started branching out beyond their classic stout to appeal to a wider range of beer drinkers.

In addition to the Guinness Blonde Lager that hit store shelves last year, Guinness is adding a hop-forward IPA to their portfolio.

These new brews have come out of the Brewers Project, which is comprised of Guinness brewers who are “charged with exploring, inventing, and perfecting new beers.”

The IPA should hit store shelves in the U.S. sometime next month; we’ll be excited to conduct a taste test.
