MorningStar’s New Pringles-Flavored Chik’n Fries Are the Nostalgic Mash-Up You Didn’t Know You Needed
If you’re a vegetarian like me, you may regularly scan the grocery store aisles for new plant-based options. And it’s no secret that MorningStar Farms has a variety of meatless products that are readily available in the frozen food section. So when I heard that MorningStar Farms and Pringles were collaborating on a new product, I immediately wanted to know more.
Kellogg’s, the food giant behind both brands, announced this exciting collab to debut two new products: MorningStar Farms Chik’n Fries in Pringles Original and MorningStar Farms Chik’n Fries in Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze flavors. “Pringles is known for its crisp crunch, iconic can and flavor combinations, and we are excited to give the fans a new way to experience the brand outside of snacking occasions,” said Mauricio Jenkins, U.S. marketing lead for Pringles, in a press release.
The Original flavor has that classic potato chip taste with chicken broth flavor, while the Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze has a spicy kick with a dairy-free cheddar flavor. It’s a collab that’s first of its kind, reimagining a nostalgic snack food in an exciting new format.
As tastes change and consumers look for more plant-based options, Kellogg’s has been working with MorningStar Farms to create new meatless products. “We’re excited to build upon the success of our most recent product launches and bring Chik’n Fries into MorningStar Farms versatile plant-based lineup,” says Kellogg’s Marketing Director, Plant-Based Protein, Danielle Rappoport.
Paired with your favorite side and dipping sauce, these fries would make a delicious lunch or in-between meeting snack for those busy work days. Heat them up in the oven, microwave, or air fryer, and you’re good to go!
Ready to get your hands on these new flavors today? Those looking to chomp down ASAP will have to wait a little longer, as the MorningStar Farms Chik’n Fries Pringles Original flavor will begin rolling out in grocery stores sometime in March, while the Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze comes out this fall. Personally, I’m excited for the spicy option and will definitely be adding it to my grocery list. Here’s hoping that a sour cream and onion flavor is up next!
