Molly Yeh’s New Food Network Show “Girl Meets Farm” Will Premiere in June
Molly Yeh, the queen of sprinkles and tahini, just announced that she’s been working on a cooking show with Food Network — and you should all be very excited. The cookbook author and blogger behind My Name Is Yeh is one of the sweetest and most approachable food bloggers out there (I mean, have you seen her funfetti cake?).
The show promises to be filled with fun takes on Midwestern dishes (yaas, hotdish!) and recipes that highlight her Chinese and Jewish roots. The new venture is called Girl Meets Farm and it’s going to premiere on June 24.
Molly made the official announcement of the show on Instagram and Facebook. Girl Meets Farm was filmed in Molly’s kitchen in North Dakota (or Minnesota — she lives on the border). “I’m going to be cooking a lot of fun things like challah, and hotdish, and potstickers, and funfetti cake, and, like, basically all my favorite foods,” she explains in the video.
Girl Meets Farm is going to have seven episodes and will follow Molly along in adventures around the farm. According to a press release, the first episode will feature Molly making “a delicious buffet for her sister-in-law Anna’s baby shower.” The buffet will include pigs in a blanket with harissa ketchup and baked doughnuts with blood orange, rhubarb, and blueberry. It’s exactly the kind of food that Molly is known for: a little bit goofy, very Midwestern, and super creative.
