The “So Delicious” Frozen Dumplings That I Can’t Stop Buying Are on Sale for Black Friday (Perfect for Easy Dinners!)

Ever since I first tried MìLà’s well-known soup dumplings, I’ve been hooked. I was instantly impressed by the explosion of flavor and the ratio of soup to pork, and bags come with 50 dumplings in each, so it lasts for a long time. The sale price makes it even more of a bargain!

The brand recently launched potsticker-style dumplings that impressed me (unsurprisingly). If you want a more sturdy alternative compared to the soup dumplings — there’s less chance of accidentally puncturing the skin — then this is a solid bet. Plus, instead of steaming them in a basket, you can also toss them in a pan or boil them.

These limited-edition dessert dumplings are inspired by molten lava cake and made in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Dominique Ansel. “The sesame balances out the sweetness so that it’s not overwhelming,” I wrote in my review. “Despite the small size — you can toss an entire piece in your mouth effortlessly — it doesn’t take many pieces for me to feel satisfied.”

Though most know MìLà for its dumplings, its dan dan noodles shouldn’t go overlooked. Additive- and preservative-free, the noodles are made using the traditional sun-drying method in Taiwan, and the sauce consists of 27 different ingredients to create a complex taste. I also add the brand’s sauces when I whip up MìLà’s easy meals, elevating each dish even further. The Dumpling Dipping Sauce has a light sweetness, while the Spicy Chili Crunch provides some heat and texture. The Ginger and Scallion sauce is its best-selling condiment for a reason, making an already-delicious entrée even tastier.

If you haven’t yet tried making dumplings at home, you’ll need a bamboo steamer. I own MìLà’s version, which has resulted in perfectly-cooked dumplings every single time I’ve used it. (I’ve used it for the soup, potsticker, and dessert dumplings.) Each bag of dumplings comes with liners that fit on each of the two levels.
