Meredith Corporation’s To Launch Magazine

Meredith agreed to purchase from Reader’s Digest Association for $175 million in January 2012. The editorial director of, Cheryl Brown, will be the editor-in-chief of the new magazine. Brown also worked as an editor for Gourmet magazine, which folded in 2009. 

It is surprising that as magazines are making the shift to digital that Meredith would decide to launch a print edition of The interest in the magazine, however, appears strong with 400,000 paid orders. According to Ad Age Meredith tested the magazine by promoting it on and by bundling it with Family Circle, Parents, Better Homes and Gardens, and Fitness.
