It takes a special kind of person to pull off a pink kitchen, and Mila Moraga-Holz, the self-proclaimed “interior design and DIY obsessed” blogger behind Jest Cafe is clearly the right woman for the job. When we came across her House Tour on our sister site, Apartment Therapy, we were so delighted that we couldn’t help but give you a peek into her family’s vibrant space for yourselves. This colorful Los Angeles home is what dreams are made of — especially the kitchen’s cozy breakfast nook.

Behold the most epic of dining areas, where Mila, her husband, and their three kids gather for meals. Accented with flouncy pillows from Ximena Rozo Designs and a dreamy light fixture from Illuminate Vintage, the spot packs a punch of personality. (Side note: If this were my kitchen, I would never, ever leave.)

Believe it or not, Mila sketched the wall mural above her breakfast nook on Adobe Draw before painting it herself. You can see the whole process unfold on Jest Cafe.

Mila added this pendant medallion (which she found on Wayfair) to an already fun chandelier, giving it another layer of detail. A rug from Hannoun Rugs completes the whole look without overtly clashing with the bright cabinetry and punches of color in the rest of the space.

Mila describes herself as a “maximalist on a minimalist budget, and believe it or not, there are only a handful of pieces in her entire home that cost more than $300. It’s a testament to what’s possible when you’re not afraid to treat your home like a blank canvas.

If you could paint your kitchen any color, what would it be?
