Now that it’s officially December, it’s time to start making some serious moves on your holiday shopping list. And I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find the stocking stuffers to be the hardest part to shop for. Like, what small items will show my loved ones that I’ve been paying attention to them this year? For a couple of family members who I know regularly cook at home, there is one item that I easily added to my cart: the (mini) air whisk from Material. This tiny gem is one of my favorite tools in the kitchen — and it’s on major sale right now!

I’ve been using this mini whisk for well over a year at this point, and it has become one of the utensils I reach for most in my kitchen (definitely more than my regular wire whisk). And right now Material has it discounted for a serious 55% off, which is a little bit more than their (also major) 40% off sitewide Cyber Monday sale. If you’re in need of a stocking stuffer for under $10, this is the one you’ll want to grab ASAP!

What Is the Material The (mini) Air Whisk?

This mini whisk has become a near-daily go-to in my kitchen. Not only can I whisk my morning eggs before putting them into my favorite nonstick pan, but because of its silicone loops, I can also use it to continuously whisk my eggs while they’re cooking without worrying about scratching my pan. Unlike using a silicone spatula, this results in super-fluffy eggs (and only one tool getting dirtied in the morning). This is in part due to the arrangement of the loops, which are crafted to help give really nice aeration to whatever you’re whisking. Plus, because of its small size, it fits much more easily into my cluttered kitchen drawers than standard whisks tend to.

This whisk comes in two fun colorways: a pink-and-purple one called Tart and a teal and mint green one named Zingy. You can get each for a serious discount right now. By that, I mean it’s 55% off, which makes the usually $20 whisk just $9. And if you’re interested in this whisk, I wouldn’t wait to pick one (or a couple of them) up, as it looks like the brand is getting ready to discontinue them!

Why I Love the Material The (mini) Air Whisk

I originally got one of these whisks to help mix together my overnight oats. And it absolutely does do that — and so much more. The one thing that really has made me love this whisk is, as I mentioned above, the ability to use it to whisk my eggs as they cook in my nonstick pan, which produces deliciously creamy curds. But I also love that I can use it for so many different applications that a normal-sized whisk just wouldn’t work for, like mixing up vinaigrettes in a Mason jar, whipping up a single serving of cake batter in a mug, and getting rid of lumps in hot chocolate.

I love this whisk so much that I actually bought one each for my sister-in-law and her wife for our gift exchange. Because we won’t be seeing them for Christmas this year, we did our gift exchange over Thanksgiving weekend. Knowing that they cook a lot at home, I thought this would be a super-useful gift for them, so I bought them each a whisk in a different color. I figured I should get ahead of it and buy them two for their household (especially because this might seriously be the last time we can buy them!). Because I use mine so much, I actually ended up buying a second while I was buying their gifts and I’ve already been putting it to good use.

If you’re having a hard time deciding on a good stocking stuffer or small gift this holiday season, you’re absolutely going to want to grab a couple of these mini whisks for your favorite home cook while they’re a massive 55% off!

Buy: Material The (mini) Air Whisk, $9 (normally, $20)
