Christina Tosi is the genius who brought Cereal Milk ice cream, Bagel Bombs, and Compost Cookies into the world. Now it looks like her taste in clothing is just as popular as her famed Crack Pies, because the Milk Bar chef launched a holiday collaboration with Madewell, and it’s already selling out.

Combining Milk Bar and Madewell is a recipe for coolness. Tosi is one of the most original and respected pastry chefs in the world, and Madewell is practically the embodiment of the phrase “effortlessly cool.” So when Tosi and Madewell head designer Joyce Lee decided to make a capsule collection of things for the kitchen, it was virtually guaranteed to be a smashing success.

The most popular item in the Madewell x Milk Bar collab was a $40 denim apron with a breast pocket and a rope tie around the neck. It looked like just the sort of thing Tosi might wear while casually reinventing the idea of cakes, and it sold out within hours.

“Joyce and I don’t color inside the lines,” Tosi told Refinery29. “We always have our eyes open for inspiration or ideas from unexpected places. This collection is a reflection of us letting our imaginations and creativity run wild in two areas we’re both passionate about, style and food.”

The apron might be sold out, but there’s still a white cotton pocket T-shirt that has a drawing of a cookie emerging from the pocket. It’s $45, but Madewell’s T-shirts are made of high quality fabrics and are meant to last a long time.

My personal favorite thing in the collection is an indigo blue, cookie-print bandana ($18.50). It’s the color of dark-wash denim, and it’s perfect for tying one’s hair back while cooking.

The collection isn’t all clothing, either. Tosi created a new denim-inspired cookie recipe with bits of streusel crisp and dried blueberries inside, so it’s sort of like a cookie version of a blueberry muffin. A refillable tin of the cookie mix—enough for 12 cookies—is available for $19. Just add butter and an egg, and you’ll have a tray of Milk Bar cookies of your own.

The Madewell x Milk Bar collection is available on Milkbarstore.com, Madewell.com, and at Madewell stores and Milk Bar locations, at least until the rest of it sells out too.
