When it comes to Martha Stewart, there’s hardly anything that she can’t do. In my eyes, Martha — much like Dolly Parton and both the late Betty White and Cicely Tyson — is a cultural icon who must be protected at all costs. And, just like Dolly Parton, the person who catapulted my journey to loving Martha Stewart was none other than my incredible grandma, Lady Di.

Back in the ’90s, my Granny would lace every guest bedroom in her home with a Martha Stewart bedding set she’d picked up from K-Mart (back when they were all the rage!) and in the early 2000s, it would be Martha’s dessert cookbook I flipped the pages of while sitting at the kitchen table dreaming of the moment I’d become an adult and “cook all of this stuff myself.” Though I never cooked any of the desserts I took the time to bookmark with my mom, there was something about Martha Stewart that made me feel like I could and more importantly, want to. And now, more than 20 years later, she’s still inspiring people everywhere to feel exactly like that.

Though now 99 cookbooks in (Fruit Desserts was released in October 2021), Martha Stewart is doing more than just inspiring folks through guest bedroom designs and luxurious-looking desserts; the lifestyle guru is gearing up to open her first restaurant in Vegas this summer, has a delicious new wine out on the shelves with 19 Crimes, and — in what is perhaps the most surprising move of all — has her own collaboration with Frito Lay.

Aptly titled the Iconic Box (I mean was there any other name to actually give it??), the new collaboration sees the talented cook show us how to elevate the simplest snack of them all — chips — by pairing them with steak tartare. And, to celebrate the new pairing — along with a giveaway for the box, too — Martha so graciously lended us a few moments of her time to tell us all about it as well as give us a few hosting tips and some great recommendations on sips.
