Dreams Do Come True: You Can Now Party Like Martha Stewart on a Cruise
Thankfully this doesn’t have to involve stalking her vacation Instagrams and trying to recreate them yourself: she’s teamed up with MSC Cruise Lines to make a series of “new, exclusive culinary and discovery experiences on board and ashore,” for devoted fans, reports People magazine. And, for those who haven’t managed to recreate their own Martha-worthy meals for holidays, there will be special Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s menus on board participating ships (but you will get recipe cards to take home and try to make for next year).
The excursions planned by Martha begin in June on the specific ships, and she personally has gone to each port and checked them out. A few examples include kayaking and visiting a pineapple farm on the Costa Maya in Mexico, learning bush medicine and visiting a tea company in the Bahamas, and boating around to fishing villages in Honduras. Almost all of them combine a little soft adventure or light walking with a fascinating culinary experience.
If that’s not enough, there are also “Celebration Surprises,” edible gifts that you can have delivered to your room that include a personalized letter from Martha. You can pick from chewy chocolate-gingerbread cookies, passion fruit melting moments and wine, or a larger package with wine, brownie cupcakes with sugared pansies, a photo by the ship’s photographer, a picture frame, and canvas tote bag.
You can see the full information on what ships will have the Martha menus, treats, and excursions on MSC’s website, and read about all the details on how to go on vacation just like her. Now, if only they could actually bring her on the trip!
