If you’ve ever wondered how extravagant Mariah Carey’s home life is, now is the time for you to find out. The songstress, who is well known for her over-the-top gown-laden lifestyle, has just put her Sandy Springs, Georgia mansion up for sale, but it’s not just because she wanted to move into something larger.

After being burglarized in late June, the Grammy Award winner put her giant 9-bedroom, 13-bathroom piece of real estate on the market, listing it with Shanna Bradley of Christie’s International. The residence sits on a private hilltop with 4.2 acres of land, and is located in a gated community in the Atlanta suburb.

Built in 1951 and designed by Stephen Fuller, the home features classic southern architecture: a brick facade, white columns, a circular driveway, and a three-car garage. Incredible details can be found throughout the residence like crown molding with millwork, coffered ceilings, arched doorways, and a pair of beautiful French doors that open up the living room to the backyard. But of course, you don’t care about that — you want to hear about the kitchen (don’t worry, I get it!).

Though MC is known for her lavish lifestyle, surprisingly, the kitchen is not as glamorous as you’d probably expect. While it features a massive marble island, bespoke cabinets, top of the line appliances, and a wonderfully sun-kissed breakfast nook, the glitzy decor one may expect from the iconic songstress is missing. You may, however, find classic MiMi look in other areas of the home though.

Take the master bedroom for example. It’s an oversized suite with its own private balcony, fireplace, built-in shelves, morning bar, opulent bathroom, and a dressing room with a spacious closet and both custom shelving and storage. A private guest suite can be found on the terrace level of the home with its own living room and fireplace.

Perhaps the cherry on top in this sprawling mansion are the state-of-the-art recording booth and home theater, workout room, heated in-ground pool, pool house, tennis courts and several gardens with a large entertainment pavilion to boot.

According to police sources, the listing comes after the multi-million dollar home was burglarized last June. And while the “Obsessed” singer was not living in the mansion at the time, chances are, she’s likely over this type of hassle. This could be largely in part due to being a victim of another burglary in 2017 where $50,000 worth of purses and sunglasses were allegedly stolen from her home in Los Angeles, according to TMZ
