If you’ve been wanting to make the switch from disposable plastic food storage containers to glass containers, you are not alone. There are more options than ever, but at around $8 per container, buying a full set is a pricey decision. Which line of glass food storage containers is the best? The Sweethome did some serious research and testing to bring us the answer.

Their pick is the Kinetic Go Green Glasslock line, an eight-piece set that sells for about $60 on Amazon and is microwave- and freezer-safe, but cannot be put in the oven. They really put these containers and all the other contenders to the test, and provide a lot of helpful information on the merits of glass containers in general. (If you’re still in the market for plastic containers, they found the best plastic food storage containers as well.)

If, like me, you nerd out on extensive product testing in the vein of Cook’s Illustrated or Consumer Reports, this is a great read.
