The 1800s-Inspired French Baking Gem I’m Using All Winter Long Is on Sale for $60
Growing up with a mom who was always whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, I’m well aware that the right bakeware can make all the difference when it comes to the perfect bake. Nonstick was a must when it came to specialties like cookies and pastries, but for perfection from oven to table (think everything from casseroles and roasts to sweets like brownies and crumbles), it was the ceramicware that she reached for.
The importance of a good piece of ceramic bakeware is something that was not lost on me (you can read about my favorite set here), and it has become one of my favorite types of pieces to scout. One place with top-notch ceramicware? Made In! Yes, the retailer behind your favorite pans is also home to some stellar bakeware — and I have some great news. The brand currently has tons of great bakeware on sale — including a standout baker that’s a whopping 40% off that I can’t wait to snag!
What Is the Made In Nancy Silverton 8″x8″ Baking Dish?
Made in collaboration with renowned chef and baker Nancy Silverton, this 8″ x 8″ dish is the stylish essential your kitchen is missing. It’s the perfect size for smaller bakes like brownies, lemon bars, cornbread, and more small bites. The brilliance of this bakeware can be traced back to 1820s France.
Made with a 202-year-old recipe held secret by skilled artisans in the Loire Valley, these porcelain wonders feature a mixture of kanolins, clays, quartz, and feldspars that are mixed and then shaped, enameled, and baked three times for over 50 hours at temperatures exceeding 2,500 degrees. The result is a durable (and naturally nonstick) dish that’s thermal shock resistant (it can go from freezer to oven to table) and designed to provide even heating for the perfect bake. The pièce de résistance? The hand-applied Nancy-Silverton-inspired gray polka design.
What Made In Shoppers Are Saying
Average rating: 5/5 stars
“I was so excited to get my 8-inch square baker; it’s beautiful!! I absolutely love it and have made au gratin potatoes & brownies in it. So far [it’s] very easy to clean up and looks so pretty. It makes you want to use it! I also love that it’s made in France by artisans who are skilled in making porcelain; they’ve perfected the art! I’ll be buying more Made In for myself and for gifts.” — Patricia C.
“I love the square baking pan. It has straight corners, and the sides of the pan are deep. The glazing provides a nonstick surface. I like baking in the Made In pans as ingredients cook evenly and have a beautiful color. The handles provide an easy grip for arthritic hands! These pans have a look of quality and are lovely on the table as serving pieces.” — Rebecca H.
“I purchased as a gift for my granddaughter-in-law. She was so excited when she opened and saw the dish. It was so flattering that I can’t wait to order one for myself.” — Colleen B.
This baking dish normally comes in at $100, but right now you can add it to your bakeware collection for just $60 (that’s 40% off!) However, this sale won’t be around long so if I were you, I’d move fast. Lord knows I am. And at a deal this good, I think I’ll add one to my mom’s collection, too.
