As concern about the spread of the coronavirus continues in the United States, the food and beverage industry has been hit particularly hard, first by people staying home voluntarily and now by government-mandated shutdowns in many parts of the country. Thankfully, several online businesses are stepping up to support and assist in any way they can. In fact, Made In, one of our favorite direct-to-consumer cookware brands, recently launched the Southern Smoke Collection, limited-edition 10- and 12-inch stainless steel frying pans in three vibrant colors. Each pan is on sale for up to 45 percent off, and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit Southern Smoke, a nonprofit foundation that supports food and beverage industry professionals, including suppliers.

You’ve probably heard us rave about Made In’s stainless steel cookware before. We’ve tested it out and our Associate Food Editor, Meghan, even said they “look, feel, and cook with the same quality as the All-Clad pots and pans I’ve been using for years.” The Southern Smoke Collection’s Color Wrapped Frying Pans are similarly built and designed using 5-layered American metal that heats up incredibly well (up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit). Both the 10- and 12-inch pans offer a large surface area that’s perfect for scrambling eggs, pan-frying vegetables, and prepping one-pot meals for quick and easy weeknight dinners.

Another pro? The lightweight pans weigh just under 2.25 pounds and come with ergonomically designed handles that have a slight lift, allowing you to flip pancakes or toss vegetables with ease. Plus, they can go from stovetop to oven, which is great when you want to brown a few chicken thighs on medium heat before slipping them into the oven to roast.

The Southern Smoke Collection’s 10-inch pan costs $49 (normally $89) while the 12-inch pan is $59 (normally $99). Both sizes are available in cherry red and sky blue, but there is currently a waitlist for the seafoam green color. Made In’s sale also includes two silicone lids that are $29 each (that’s 41 percent off), and proceeds will also benefit Southern Smoke.

If you’re looking for a frying pan that can make you feel like a pro chef without the hefty price tag, this deal is perfect for you. And the best part? You’ll be supporting thousands of people in the restaurant industry.
