Lori & Greg used to live in the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC. They decided to trade in their small space for a larger home in Richmond, Virginia. They originally thought they were going to have a hard time filling in their new, larger space — but from the looks of things, they haven't had trouble at all.. especially in the kitchen!
The biggest eye catcher in the kitchen is the amazing butcher block located smack dab in the center. It's fairly chunky, but the more the merrier in the world of butcher blocks! The rustic block works perfectly with the cottage style kitchen. The white tile, cabinets and walls allow the butcher block to be such a large presences without weighing the space down.
We're firm believers that you can do no wrong when using subway tile in the kitchen. It can be dressed up or down, and works especially well in a country kitchen like Lori and Greg's. The large country sink mimics the shape of the tile and looks effortless.
The cottage-style kitchen takes on a modern twist with the addition of stainless steel accents and appliances. It's truly the easiest way to up-the-era in a kitchen!
