If you’re big on the celebrity lifestyle, you’ll know that Grammy Award-winning entertainer Lizzo’s career reached impressive new heights this year. From releasing her latest album Special, achieving a worldwide hit with her song “About Damn Time”, and performing twice on Saturday Night Live, the “Truth Hurts” singer’s meteoric rise shows no sign of slowing down. And to cap off such an incredible year, she was recently nominated for five Grammy Awards — including Album of the Year — for 2023’s ceremony. 

In a recent sit-down interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers to highlight her Grammy nominations, Lizzo went day drinking with the host at Valerie in New York City. During the chat, Lizzo introduces Seth to a new drinking game, resulting in a hilarious exchange between the two entertainers. 

Beginning with the appropriately titled “About Damn Wine,” the game saw Seth serving Lizzo up good conversation and original cocktails that drew inspiration from both her life and songs on her new album. After a few rounds of shots, Lizzo returned the favor and introduced Seth to the drinking game “Wag the Bag.” This involves removing the bag from a box of wine, giving it a nice slap, and then guzzling the wine straight from the bag. Throughout the game, it was apparent Lizzo had the advantage due to previous experience playing it. 

Throughout the duration of the laugh-filled segment, Seth supplied the hitmaker novelty drinks like “Grrrls” and “Grammys” — the former being a nod to a song of the same name on her recent album.

For the drink, a margarita, sherry wine (a nod to Lizzo’s mom), and a Bloody Mary all filled the glass before being topped with Dr Pepper. If that doesn’t quite sound appealing, you’d be correct. According to Lizzo, it actually tastes like vomit. “Who needs to throw up after a long night of drinking when you can drink Grrrls,” she quipped as the host laughed.
