It’s not every day that Le Creuset comes out with new colors (because that would be ridiculous!). At most, these launches happen just a few times a year, but they’re usually even more infrequent. In fact, the last big launch was in April of 2019. Back then, the brand launched three beautiful-but-subdued colors, which were meant to be luxurious and calm at the same time.

Well, a new launch was just announced today, and this time around, Le Creuset is going for a more maximalist approach. (Their words, not ours!) They’ve come out with two brand new colors, which will be available on the Le Creuset website starting January 30th: Artichaut and Nectar. And there will be lots of pieces in both colors. Let’s take a look!

Any guesses as to what color Nectar happens to be? If you guessed a deep, golden yellow, you’d be right! “Bask in the golden warmth of Nectar, a ray of sunshine swirled with honey and a hint of caramel,” the company says. Look for 10 enameled cast iron pieces in the new color — including a 5.5- and 7.25-quart Signature Round Dutch Oven, the 2.25- and 3.5-quart Signature Braiser, and the Signature Iron Handle Skillet. Plus: all sorts of stoneware items. Again, these pieces will be on Le Creuset’s website on January 30th and a few more will be exclusive to Williams Sonoma (with extra pieces rolling out later this year, too).

Next up: Artichaut, which is a fun artichoke-y color. “Evoke the artichoke’s mystique in a chic, opulent green that is born of the garden and revered in the kitchen,” the company explains. Honestly, we’ve never heard an artichoke described quite so well! (It IS mysterious!) Look for nine different enameled cast iron options — including five Dutch oven sizes, the 2.25- and 3.5-quart Signature Braiser, and the Signature Iron Handle Skillet. Plus: all sorts of stoneware items and a kettle! Find these pieces on Le Creuset’s site and Sur la Table, where more items will be rolling out later, as well.

While we were oohing and aahing over the new colors Le Creuset execs pointed out one last thing: They’re really hoping to stress the point to customers that Le Creuset pieces can be mixed and matched. No more having to pick one color and stick with it. And looking at the table they set up for the color announcement, we totally agree!

What do you think of the two new colors? Would you mix and match them or stick with just one?
