Le Creuset Is Launching a New Addition to Its Mickey Mouse Collection
If you’re a Mickey Mouse fan, you know that his 90th birthday is coming up. (You also probably know that the exact date is November 18.) And you’ll be excited to find out that in honor of the big day Le Creuset and Disney have teamed up to add another piece to their existing collaboration.
The new piece is a cute 2-quart Dutch oven (shown above) with Mickey ears embossed on the lid. It will retail for $250 and launches exclusively on Le Creuset’s site and Williams Sonoma on October 15.
“Building on the popularity of Beauty and the Beast and Snow White product partnerships, we thought it only natural to celebrate the original Disney character, Mickey Mouse, on his birthday,” says Nate Collier, director of marketing communications at Le Creuset, in a press release.

The full collection includes a 4.5-quart Dutch oven, a set of stoneware dishes, and a silicone trivet — all of which are already available at most kitchen retailers.

We actually like this new Dutch oven even more than the other Mickey stuff because it’s pretty understated. The bottom of the pot looks like a normal red Le Creuset. It’s not until you look closely at the lid that you notice the signature ridges are in the shape of little mouse ears. And obviously, if you happen to have the other pieces in the collection, it’ll fit right in.
What do you think? Will you be celebrating Mickey’s birthday by buying the new Le Creuset Dutch oven?
