Spring is here, and if you’re anything like me, you’re brimming with excitement at the thought of all the outdoor activities you can finally partake in again. And I’d venture to guess that many of those activities involve food, whether that’s going on a stroll with your morning coffee, picnicking in the park, or hitting up a rooftop bar. Open-air dining is unlike anything else, but you might still be someplace where the weather is reluctant to catch up. If there’s still no telling when the chilly temps are going to rise, well, you might just have to bring the outdoors in. Luckily, that’s no problem as far as grilling is concerned; you don’t even need a griddle, electric skillet, or anything that plugs into an outlet. All you need is Le Creuset’s cast-iron grill pan, which is available now at QVC. So fire up your stove, and get ready to welcome the warmer seasons with some delicious eats!

By now, we’re sure you’ve heard us go on and on about Le Creuset’s signature cast iron material. What makes it so great in this instance is that you don’t have to season your pan or take any extra steps to care for it before and after use. The grill pan is surprisingly low-maintenance, especially when you consider how well it works. For starters, the square measures 9.5 inches, which means you have plenty of surface area to nicely lay out all your ingredients, such as zucchini strips, bell pepper rings, and strips of meat. From there, you just need a pair of tongs with which to flip them after a few minutes. It’s high-temp grilling made easy! You’ll also notice that your food develops those appetizing sear marks, just like they would from a regular outdoor grill.

In reality, this pan is the best solution for those who don’t have an outdoor space. It’s a much quicker cleanup than the traditional grilling method, too! That’s because the pan is safe to go in the dishwasher after use. (You can also use it to reheat leftovers in the oven up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. ) This piece will also develop a natural patina over time, meaning the more you use it, the better it gets at frying, searing, browning, and grilling. And you can comfortably use the rest of your stove at the same time to prepare other meals, as the square pan will only take up a single burner. We know that at $100, this pan likely isn’t something you’d want to impulse buy. But, it’s definitely a product whose cost per use will eventually become completely insignificant, purely based on how much you’re bound to love it and use it.
