In many people’s eyes, LaCroix can do no wrong. People love lounging out by the pool with their refreshing, sparkling flavors in hand or using them as easy zero-calorie mixers with some vodka or tequila for pre-games and outdoor barbecues. (I happen to love doing both of these things.)

But back when they announced a new addition in May this year, the Hi-Biscus flavor – which is a tropical pink flower that is tart in taste with some berry notes — people weren’t thrilled (to say the least). Between the barf emojis, the questioning of what in the world a hibiscus even is, and just general upset, people were clearly not into this new bright pink can.

This remark from @pando55 happens to be my favorite, as a Schitt’s Creek fan. Believe me, I spent probably fifteen minutes just scrolling through all the hilarious responses when it went viral.

Yet, LaCroix has come back to redeem itself! They just announced a brand new flavor to hit the shelves. What’s the newest member to the LaCroix family — one that hopefully people enjoy much more? It’s limoncello! How delicious does that sound? Limoncello, in case you didn’t know, is a traditional Italian lemon liqueur that’s made from infusing lemon peel in vodka. It typically has an intense lemon flavor. I imagine that this new flavor will taste different than the “lemon” flavor that LaCroix already has — kind of like how the “lime’ and “key lime” flavors are different.

The bright yellow can looks sunny and happy, like something you’d sip on a warm day in the summertime, and while it’s coming out in 2020, where it might be some time until temperatures heat up, it can definitely give that more tropical, refreshing taste while we wait for the cold to pass.

People on Instagram so far are thrilled! They think the can is pretty, the flavor seems yummy, and they are eager to taste it next to standard lemon and see which they like more. (Perhaps we will do the same and let you know our thoughts.)
