• On November 18 from 1pm to 3 pm, Barbara Fairchild will be signing her new cookbook The Bon Appetit Cookbook at The Cook’s Library (8373 West 3rd Street, at South Kings Road).
• If you need someplace to stop for refreshments during all your holiday shopping, from November 18 until January 1, 2007, The Blvd at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills will be hosting a hot chocolate bar, featuring unexpected concoctions like The Melted Snowflake (white chocolate and white chocolate liqueur) and The Mamacita (chocolate syrup, freshly ground cinnamon and chili).
• Friday, November 17, there is one spot available at Hip Cooks Autumn in Paris cooking class. Students will learn to make oysters two ways – shooters with a leek, wine and cream sauce and broiled with spinach, pernod and topped with cheese. Also on the menu is crazy take on Coq au Vin (it has grapes and bok choy) and for dessert, Pots de Creme au Chocolate.
