If you love wine and the holiday season, you’re in for a real treat. Kroger is introducing a wine countdown calendar to lead up to Christmas time, where you have 24 full days of fun trying different festive wines. 

It’s called the Oh What Fun! Holiday Wine Countdown Calendar and it has 24 mini bottles — which is equivalent to six full-size bottles — of Kroger-exclusive wine. It will include a mix of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines from around the world. And these wines won’t be restocked in stores for the holiday season, so you can only try them through purchasing this calendar!

So if you want one (and you probably do), you’ll need to act fast, as there are only 16,000 total. That’s not a lot at all when you consider how many wine-lovers and thirsty people there are in this world. It hits shelves November 1, so mark your calendars to be at Kroger ASAP to snag one before they sell out.

As for the wines, you’ll learn a bit about each before trying them and understand why these wines were chosen for the holidays in particular. 

There’s a Cabernet Sauvignon from California with dark fruits (like plum, black cherry, and spice), and a Chardonnay from California with a buttery texture and flavors of ripe pear, Meyer lemon, and warm vanilla. You’ll also find Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and more!

If you’re eager to start drinking early to celebrate the holiday season, this wine calendar is a fun, boozy way to start the party with a 24-day countdown. And who knows? Maybe this calendar will help you figure out which wines you like best, so you can make wiser purchases throughout 2020, too.
