Picking out the right doughnut always seems to take a little longer than expected in my experience. Once I really get into scanning the selection, I find myself beginning to justify getting a half dozen versus just the one that I was originally seeking out. It seems like every year that goes by, doughnut makers get together and produce yet another flavor concoction that is sure to knock out my taste buds. And in this case, Krispy Kreme is at it again.

No stranger to giving us flavors that make our heads spin (their Cinnamon Milk Glazed Collection took us by storm in April), the longtime doughnut scientists have something special up their lab coats for summer 2022. The new Pick of the Patch doughnut collection has me super excited and I think you’ll feel the same way once you hear all about them.

Beginning on June 6 (that’s today!), consumers can hop in line for three of the four new berry-inspired doughnuts from the brand: Mixed Berry Cobbler, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Strawberry Cheesecake. And starting June 10, fans can enjoy the all-new Mixed Berry Glazed doughnut, but only between Fridays and Sundays of each week. A good weekend chomp? Sign me up!

If you are anything like me, you are dying to know what is in store with each bite. Well, the Mixed Berry Cobbler contains mixed berry cobbler filling, topped with shortbread crumbles, and is glazed with brown sugar icing and powdered sugar. The Blueberry Cheesecake, on the other hand, features blueberry cheesecake filling and is dipped in blueberry icing before being finished off with a sprinkle of shortbread crumbles.

Now of course, a berry-inspired lineup wouldn’t be complete without a strawberry flavor, so it should come as no surprise that the Strawberry Shortcake doughnut features a glazed sour cream cake doughnut that has been dipped in strawberry filling, sprinkled with shortbread crumbles, and topped with both a vanilla buttercream swirl and a strawberry drizzle. And lastly, the Mixed Berry Glazed flavor takes the classic light and airy doughnut texture and reinforces it with Krispy Kreme’s all new Mixed Berry Glaze. Sound like a midsummer night’s dream? Of course it does!

If I were you, I would hop right on to this berry limited release because they will only last until June 26. Available in singles or as a whole Berry Lovers Dozen, you are not going to want to miss out. And while you’re there, don’t forget that Krispy Kreme’s Glazed Cinnamon Rolls are back for good, but only on one day of the week.
