Nothing beats the feeling of polishing off a freshly baked, warm cinnamon roll, its sweet and sticky glaze still coating your fingertips as you take that last savory bite … pure heaven. Sadly, it’s always been a little difficult to find a good cinnamon roll in my neighborhood.

But Krispy Kreme is starting to look a lot more like heaven to me. They just announced that their coveted Original Glazed Cinnamon Rolls will now be a permanent menu item for us to enjoy. The only catch is, you can only get them on Sundays.

Available only at participating locations, the big day, which has now been dubbed “Cinnamon Roll Sundays,” will see fans of Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed Cinnamon Rolls take advantage of the widely popular, limited-edition treat once a week. Offered up as individual rolls or a 4-pack that you can take home and share with the family, Krispy Kreme really hit a home run with this announcement.

“Our Original Glazed Cinnamon Roll was very well received when we introduced it last year for a limited time,” Krispy Kreme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dave Skena, said in a press statement. “When we get a fan reaction like that, we want to give them what they want.”

Krispy Kreme has had a solid track record with popular limited releases like their Twix Collection — recently available for only two weeks — as well as their St. Patrick’s Day Collection, which featured the return of their Original Glazed Doughnut, turned green for the holiday. And of course, for the upcoming Easter holiday, they’re giving us fans a new lineup of Filled Spring Minis — four egg-shaped doughnuts packed with one of the brand’s signature Kremes.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get my hands on a 4-pack of those delicious cinnamon rolls. And while I can’t confirm whether or not I’ll be sharing them, I can confirm that they won’t last long (please don’t judge me).
