If there’s one cleaning product I use religiously in the kitchen, it’s a multi-purpose cleaner. My husband cooks daily, so cleaning the counters and stovetop is a constant on our to-do list. I’m always on the hunt for a multi-purpose cleaner that not only gets rid of grease and grime, but that also smells great, because that’s just as important.

Because my apartment has an open floor plan, kitchen smells travel throughout our entire space. A kitchen cleaner with a pleasant fragrance can either help neutralize those smells, or fill my home with a refreshing scent. I recently stumbled upon a kitchen cleaner that I could only describe as smelling like summer, and it will be my go-to cleaner for the entire season.

The Koala Eco Multi-Purpose Kitchen Cleaner is made with plant-based, biodegradable ingredients, including Australian lemon myrtle and mandarin essential oils. I’ve been hesitant when it comes to using multi-purpose cleaners on certain kitchen surfaces, like the inside of the microwave, because of the overwhelming chemical scents that linger (or, worse, attach to foods), but the Koala Eco cleaner disinfects and deodorizes without synthetic fragrances and chemicals.

The invigorating blend smells almost like fresh citrus juice instead of a kitchen cleaner, and it comes in a 100% post-consumer recycled bottle, making it a truly eco-friendly cleaning product. In addition to my kitchen counters and stovetop, I also use this cleaner on the exterior of my air fryer, underneath my cabinets, inside of my microwave, on my dining table, and inside of my fridge and freezer.

Although it’s available in two sizes, I’ve always opted for the larger 24-ounce bottle (that might not even last a couple of months because of how much I use it!). If you try it and love its natural and refreshing fragrance as much as I do, you can also pair it with the Lemon Myrtle and Mandarin Natural Dish Soap to fill your kitchen with the sweet, tangy smell of summer all season long.
