At long last, it’s pumpkin spice season! This whole summer slipped by so quickly, I did not even realize it had become fall until I saw a pumpkin spice latte sign outside my local coffee shop. I could have sworn it was still May, but it looks like fall is here, and frankly, I’m ready for it. I’ve made enough banana bread; now I’m ready to branch out and make something really wild, like pumpkin bread. While I’m at it, I’ll try pumpkin muffins, and pumpkin pancakes, and I’ll get some pumpkin-scented candles, and decorative pumpkins to put in front of my house. (I just really like pumpkins, honestly.)

Autumn always feels like a time for a new start to me. School is in session again (whatever that looks like this year), sweaters enter the clothing rotation, and all fall vegetables start coming into season. It’s time to make some changes and celebrate with some great autumn cooking. This is why we asked the Kitchn Collective for their favorite fall recipes for some inspiration for what to cook right now. Here’s what they had to say!
