Several editors from The Kitchn were at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago this past weekend, looking to see what’s fresh and new in the world of blenders, toasters, vacuums, cookware, and beyond. It’s a huge trade show and always a bit overwhelming, but one of our first stops was also the one I look forward to each year: the new mixer colors at KitchenAid.
I know you guys are KitchenAid junkies — want to see this year’s new colors?
KitchenAid actually showed three new colors in their mixers this year:
- Sea Glass – That greenish-blue gleaming color. (Available in June.)
- Bordeaux – A deeper, richer red. Very classy. (Available in September.)
- Lavender – Along with Ice, Majestic Yellow, and Pink, this color completes the quartet that KitchenAid is calling their Ice Cream Suite. (Available in March.)
Do you have a favorite color in these mixers? Mine is a plain pearly gray, which works well for me, although the retro Ice Cream Suite colors are also so fun.
