I don’t know what jumped out at me first when I saw this photo: the absolutely perfect shade of grayish blue on the cabinets, the elegant brass pulls, or the striped linen tea towel casually pulling it all together.

Shiny or polished brass would look too glaring in this instance, but the matte brushed brass is all class, and works so well with the cool tones of the cabinets. I think it’s such a lovely alternative to stainless steel in this case, which would be the predictable choice. (Not to mention that there’s some evidence to suggest that using brass fixtures instead of stainless steel helps combat bacteria in the kitchen.)
