Two years ago we toured Alina’s beautiful New York kitchen, a rich, warm space full of pieces picked up on her travels around the world. While looking through this tour again recently, I found myself drawn to one photo in particular: a shot of a soap dispenser installed on the wall above Alina’s kitchen sink. It was beautiful and interesting, so I went looking for more information about it:

What I love about this particular dispenser design is that it operates on a smooth swinging motion. You put your finger on the front tab, tilt the bottle down, and it pours soap into your hands! What a lovely addition to a kitchen, don’t you think?

Unfortunately, it turns out that Alina purchased the soap dispenser from Napa Style, and it is no longer available. It was specifically made for that store, and at the time the tour was posted, she’d been unable to find a suitable replacement.

In my own internet search for “vintage wall-mounted soap dispenser,” I found a few similar designs, like this one from Le Maison Bleu and this one from Rockett St. George (neither available in the US, however). But I wonder if a little more sleuthing on Etsy or eBay would yield even more results.
