Keith spent a over a year remodeling his 1959 Mid-Century home in Palm Springs. A big part of the remodel was completely gutting and transforming the 1980s kitchen. The result? A gourmet kitchen with all the bells and whistles:

So stunning, right? Here’s what Keith says about his home, and the incredible kitchen redesign:

We recently renovated and installed a new kitchen in a Palm Springs Mid-century home. The 1959 home was bought from the original owners and had been neglected over the years. We spent over a year remodeling and renovating the entire house, ending up with a stunning 6 bedroom, 5 bath home. (We also offer the house as a vacation rental and it’s been very, very popular.)

We ripped out the existing 1980s kitchen and installed a new gourmet kitchen with ebony macassar and white lacquer cabinets, Carrara marble counters, terrazzo floors and Viking/Bosch appliances.  We created working zones for prep, cook and clean, while dual sinks and dual dishwashers make cooking and clean-up a snap!

The cabinets were ready-to-assemble that we bought online and had shipped to the house. This saved us a ton of money while still giving a custom look. We used mirror back splash to bounce light and visually expand the space, and put LED strip lighting under cabinets, in the soffit and over the island.
