Designer Ankita Kerjariwal opened her Etsy shop in 2011 with her fun collection of beautiful graphic prints for the kitchen. Many of her offerings are personalized or available in custom colors and would make a great wedding or housewarming gift. Ankita was very kind and agreed to answer a few questions for The Kitchn about her artwork, her home, and what she loves to cook.

Which is your favorite design in your kitchen art print collection?

AK: “My favorite design is the colorful set with bold colors and the simple kitchen silhouettes. My most popular are the chevron ones. I grew up in India, and in India, kitchens are often tucked away either behind the house or inside a room, so the fact that now I have a lovely open kitchen which is the integral part of the house I was inspired to add kitchen art to my walls, and then offer them in my shop.”

What décor do you have hanging in your kitchen?

AK: “I just revamped my kitchen so at the moment I am still mulling over which decor to hang. I will probably add some decals on my walls from my decal collection.”

What is your favorite dish or dessert to make for your family?

AK: “I am originally from India and I love food which has flavor and spices. There is a street dish called `Pav Bhaji’ in India, which is by far our family favorite and very healthy. Pav means bread, and bhaji means vegetables, and it is a extremely savory and satisfying dish to eat on a cold day because it is served hot.”

Thanks, Ankita!
