The new year just started, which means you’re probably seeing an array of red and pink-colored packages popping up in grocery store aisles. Yes, we’ve entered a new countdown to … Valentine’s Day (and, of course, Galentine’s Day). What You Should Know About Kit Kat Bears

Trust me when I say that you’ll want to get your paws on this seasonal drop. Available for a limited time only starting in January, Kit Kat Bears are everything you know and love about the standard bars (delightfully crispy wafers covered in creamy milk chocolate) molded into a cute, teddy bear-inspired shape. Jellycat could never.

This is only the second time ever Kit Kat has reshaped its iconic bars. (The brand previously released Kit Kat Santas for the holiday.) Each bear is individually wrapped, which makes them easily shareable — or not. They’re sold in 8.85-ounce bags at retailers nationwide, including Instacart, Walmart, and Amazon.

My Honest Review of Kit Kat Milk Bears

Kit Kat is one of my favorite candies, and the bear is especially sweet (appearance-wise) — from its heart-shaped button nose to the tiny Kit Kat logos stamped on its feet. There’s a higher ratio of chocolate to wafer than the standard bars, thanks to the additional chocolate needed to fill the bear mold (a detail many other Kitchn team members appreciated as well). The bears have a solid snap when you bite into them and taste just as delicious as an original Kit Kat, but better

“There’s basically double the chocolate,” said Alex, our staff photographer, and Rachel, our culinary producer, practically in unison.  The  “adorable and perfect” shape was also a hit with Terri, our executive editor of Apartment Therapy.

These Kit Kat Bears would make a wonderful gift for family, friends, or any loved ones. Stash one in your kid’s lunch box or have them hand them out to their classmates at school. Or set out a bowl of them in your office, and I’m sure it’ll put a smile on everyone’s face. (If your office is anything like ours, that bowl will be gone in no time.) If I could make just one suggestion, it would be that Kit Kat release some shapes in dark chocolate as well. Otherwise, they’re pretty perfect.
