This Mixing Bowl Set Has Two Clever Tricks Up Its Sleeve
We’ve written before about how Joseph Joseph is one of our favorite brands for innovative home goods that give basics (like cutting boards or drawer organizers) a design-forward, extra-functional twist. The brand’s nine-piece nesting bowl set, which includes a colander and measuring spoons, is perhaps their most iconic product, even inspiring a slew of imitators.
And today an equally inventive set of mixing bowls from Joseph Joseph is on sale on Amazon. True to form, they aren’t your average mixing bowls.

The three bowls are dishwasher-safe and have a nonslip base and easy-to-grab handles that are missing from so many other bowls. A spout makes pouring contents easy, too. But what really stands out here are two thoughtful additions: an egg separator and egg cracker.
The bright yellow egg separator is the fourth piece in the set, and can be used independently or attached to any of the bowls for even easier use. While an egg separator isn’t a totally necessary kitchen tool, it certainly makes a common kitchen task a lot easier. Instead of standing there with egg yolks in your hands or shifting the yolk back and forth between the shell halves, you can crack the egg, put it in the separator, and let the whites drip into the bowl while you work on something else.
And even if you can crack an egg with one hand, you’ll probably still be pretty pumped to learn about the stainless steel egg crackers built into the sides of all three bowls. See, cracking your egg on your counter or the side of a bowl can make a mess of things. This feature is decently sharp (but not so sharp that you’ll cut yourself!), so you get a good crack each time and can worry less about egg shells winding up where they don’t belong.
