Musician John Legend has a really, really impressive resumé. (He's the latest person to complete the incredibly rare accomplishment of winning an Academy, Emmy, Oscar, and Tony Award.) All things considered, though, our absolute favorite credential that John Legend gets to hold over all of our heads is that he's the hype-man and muse to his wife, Chrissy Teigen (also an incredibly impressive human).

If you follow the duo on Instagram, then you're already clued in to the fact that John and Chrissy are absolute #CoupleGoals. If you don't — wait, why aren't you?— a regular day consists of John singing the Stinky Booty song (IT'S SO DAMN CATCHY), while Chrissy juggles making a large salad/feeding their newborn son, Miles, in the buff. And if that doesn't convince you to follow them, I don't know what will.

The latest excitement in the Teigen-Legend household is the launch of Chrissy's second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry For More, which just came out last week. We already have our grubby little hands on it and have been loving her signature hilarious anecdotes that accompany each of the 103 recipes.

We got the chance to sit down with John this week (thanks to his work on behalf of Naked Juice's #FillYourCartForGood campaign), and here's what he had to say about his yummy life with Chrissy and her new book, among other things.

On cooking for Chrissy.

I cook all the time! Chrissy comes up with more ideas, but I can actually execute any recipe. I'll make just about anything. When she was pregnant, I cooked a lot because it was hard for her to be on her feet.

On his pre-show ritual and the veggie he loves.

I eat the same thing before every show. I'm not superstitious, but for some reason it puts me in a good place: roasted chicken and some sautéed broccoli with garlic tossed in olive oil. Garlic everything.

On the veggie they love to hate.

My least favorite is beets. The growers association is going to be mad at me now. Chrissy hates beets too, though; the two of us have our own Anti-Beet Society.

On his favorite recipe in Cravings: Hungry for More.

Hands-down the French onion soup! It's so good, I could rave about it all day ... and the skillet peanut butter chocolate chip blondies.

[Ed. Note: John wrote the intro for the skillet cookie recipe (it's hilarious), and the French onion soup recipe calls for a half-cup of Gruyére per serving. GIMME.]

To get your hands on both of these recipes (and more) you're going to have to get your hands on Chrissy's book first.

Buy: Cravings: Hungry for More, by Chrissy Teigen, $18
