Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Are Selling Their Lush Color-Filled Miami Estate and You’re Going to Want to See the Kitchen
Joe Jonas and wife Sophie Turner have found themselves back in the real estate market — just a year after living in their new Miami, Florida estate. The celebrity super-couple originally purchased the gated Bay Point home for $11 million after moving from Los Angeles, where they sold their mansion for $15.2 million to Grammy winning artist, DJ Zedd. Now, ready again for new horizons, Joe and Sophie have listed their luxurious 1980’s waterfront mansion for a cool $17 million, and we’ve got all of the juicy details on what can be found inside.
Besides bumping shoulders with high-profile neighbors like Enrique Inglesias and Anna Kournikova, the .37-acre waterfront corner lot currently owned by Jonas-Turner offers many other eye-opening perks. To start, the 10,414-square foot home features 6 bedrooms and 8 1/2 baths, and is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous work, including large windows, natural light, and plenty of organic materials used throughout the home.
Other notable features include 30 foot-high ceilings, stone walls, and a lush tropical entryway of a lobby with an incredible floating staircase. The ability to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces makes this a great home for getting together with friends and family.
The estate — which boasts a whopping $4,770 monthly HOA fee — did get a recent refresh though, when the couple worked with interior designer, Sarah Ivory. Initially, the coral-walled atrium entryway was led by water features that were replaced with a tropical vertical garden. The additions of the gold-toned coffee table and both jewel-toned fabrics and furnishings set atop a beautiful plum-colored silk rug and beneath a lavender glass chandelier all tie the room together marvelously.
As for the best part of the house? The chef’s kitchen just may take the cake … by the ocean, that is. New inhabitants of the property can expect a double-wide snack bar island, topped with a stone waterfall counter. Flowing effortlessly into a formal dining area, new owners and guests will marvel at the hand-painted de Gournay jungle-themed wallpaper. To top things off, a vintage Venetian glass chandelier and bamboo chairs fit perfectly into the lush, tropical beach vibe of the home.
If all of this beautiful architecture isn’t enough to make you drool, the outside will surely do the job. Beyond the tropical foliage, blankets of lawn space, lighted trees, and an outdoor kitchen can be found with two swimming pools set as the background. A coral stone wall and large row of palm trees keep outsiders from looking in while a short walk to a 94-foot dock takes you to the waterway that provides easy access to both the bay and Atlantic Ocean.
While the listing agent — Carl Gambino — gave no details as to why Jonas and Turner are selling, we do know that they still have their Manhattan home, which they tried to sell in 2020, before taking it off the market at $5.4 million.
If there is one thing for certain, buying and selling a home is a painstaking process that requires a lot of patience and hard work. Don’t believe me? Just ask celebrity home owners like Kylie Jenner and Dr. Dre — who have their work cut out for them while trying to unload massive lots of real estate in today’s market.
