You’ll Never Guess the Surprising Way Joanna Gaines Uses Her Dishwasher (It’s Brilliant)
Joanna Gaines recently posted a clip on her Instagram about a quick way to tidy up when you’re in a pinch. The video racked up nearly 90,000 views, and people flooded the comments voicing how her special hack is typical in their households.
In the Instagram Reel, the Magnolia Table host shared how exhausted she’s been lately, but with the holiday season in full swing, she still has plans to host. “I had every intention of waking up today and getting after it, and baking and making all the Christmas candy that I always love to do every year, and then I woke up, and I was just not feeling it,” Gaines said in the clip. “But I also have some friends coming over, and I had to hide everything; let me show you how to do that.” She walks over to her dishwasher and opens it up, and no, it’s not filled with a bunch of plates or cups; it’s packed to the brim with a bunch of ingredients.
Gaines stuffed her dishwasher with what appears to be an assortment of Ritz Crackers, marshmallows, peanut butter, peanuts, chocolate, walnuts, pecans, confectionary sugar, almond bark, and Rice Krispies cereal.
“My grandmother hides everything in her oven. Only had one mishap when her sister tried to cook something,” wrote one fan. “So what you are saying is that you are a normal human?” asked another, adding, “You are awesome.”
Of course, you should make sure your dishwasher is dry before proceeding with this hack, but overall, there’s no reason you shouldn’t use it for storage.
If you watched Gaines’ clip a few times and are curious about what type of Christmas treats she plans to make with the ingredients stuffed in her dishwasher, we are 100% sure at least one of the goodies includes her popular no-bake peanut butter balls, which I tried a few weeks ago and found absolutely delicious.
