Jennifer Lopez has had a whirlwind year. From releasing her Marry Me film — which co-starred global superstar Maluma and beloved actor Owen Wilson — to seeing life imitate art a few months later, as she wed former-beau and now-husband Ben Affleck, it may be safe to say she’s had one of the best years ever.

As we’re all reliving a love story that first began 20 years ago, becoming invested in what the now-blended family may be doing for the holidays is not much of a surprise. Thankfully though, J.Lo isn’t letting our minds wander, as the “Get Right” songstress filled us in on a few of her plans for the upcoming holiday.

In a recent episode of Vogue‘s “73 Questions” series, the multi-talented superstar revealed that Christmas — which she calls the “most sparkly” holiday — is her favorite amongst the lot for one reason we can all appreciate: the food. “We cook the same food every year, which I love, cause I wait for that food all year,” she said. “We cook pasteles and arroz con gandules and pernil, and all the, like, specialities.”

And if you’re wondering what she washes all of the savory food down with afterwards, you can bet it’s coquito. Although we’re sure there are plenty of other luxe food items that are set to be on this year’s menu, J.Lo’s fondness for a traditional meal with family proves that at the end of the day, she’s still just “Jenny from the block.”

The interview also saw the Hustlers actress reveal which character she’s felt most similar to in her acting career, which movie she’d like a sequel to (it’s definitely not the one you think!), who makes her laugh most on set, how she prepares for roles, and so much more.
