I Tried the Viral Jam Water Recipe and It’s My Go-To Drink of the Summer
Since the creation uses very minimal ingredients — La Croix sparkling water and jam — I decided to take on the challenge. And, since I’ve felt that La Croix’s flavor (though refreshing) can be a little dull due to the minimal amount of sugar, I was interested to see if the jam would change the dynamic of the drink.

How to Make Jam Water
You will need one 12-ounce can of Lime La Croix sparkling water, a jar of raspberry-flavored Bonne Maman jam (or the flavor of your choice), and a 16-ounce cup for your mixture.
First, fill your cup with ice before adding in two tablespoons of jam.
Then, pour in your La Croix to fill the cup to your desired level, mix together until evenly blended, and enjoy!
My Honest Review of Jam Water
I was very surprised by the results of this drink recipe. What I expected was the complete opposite of what I tasted. The jam gave the sparkling water a more in-depth flavor profile, but nothing that was too overpowering. Still delivering a refreshing taste, but with a little more sweetness, the mixture actually tasted like a sugar-free or low-sugar option you’d get out of the store… but better.
2 Tips for Making Jam Water
- Use your favorite jam. While the recipe called for raspberry-flavored jam, don’t limit yourself to using only the recommended jam. There are tons of amazing jams on the market that are really good and locally sourced.
- Get creative. For those who are over the age of 21, this could make an amazing cocktail by simply adding gin or vodka. Bertha’s Revenge Small Batch Gin and Grays Peak Vodka are two options that I highly recommend.
