Jack and Coke are a classic combination, and the companies behind them are finally making it official. Jack Daniel’s and Coca‑Cola are releasing a ready-to-drink cocktail, so that you can just pop open a Jack and Coke whenever you’d like — no mixing required. With other soda brands embracing boozy offerings, like Mountain Dew releasing HARD MTN DEW earlier this year, this new product feels very on trend.

Like the classic bar cocktail, Jack Daniel’s & Coca‑Cola will be made with — you guessed it — Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and classic Coca-Cola. The RTD beverage will debut in Mexico later this year and eventually roll out worldwide. It will have a 5 percent ABV, although it will vary depending on the market, and a zero-sugar version will also be sold.

“This relationship brings together two classic American icons to deliver consumers a taste experience they love in a way that is consistent, convenient, and portable,” Lawson Whiting, CEO and president of Brown-Forman Corporation, said in a press release. “Brown-Forman has been a leader in the ready-to-drink category since we launched our first Jack Daniel’s RTD more than 30 years ago.” Their RTD line includes drinks like Apple Fizz and Honey Lemonade.

Jack Daniel’s already has a Whiskey & Cola RTD option, but the new canned cocktail with Coca-Cola will differ in that it’s actually made with Coca-Cola and both brand logos are on the cans.

Jack Daniel’s and Coca‑Cola joining forces feels long overdue, but we’re glad it finally happened!
