Lately we've been spending a lot of time looking to see how people store their coffee mugs. We've seen a lot of good ideas, but one seems to pop up again and again. That's the idea to use, essentially, a towel bar with some hooks. It's so simple, yet so smart.
We could have shown you a couple dozen shots illustrating this point, but we lost our minds over this beautiful setup from Kimberly Duran, the blogger behind Swoon Worthy.
There is, indeed, plenty to swoon over in this kitchen. The black lower cabinets! The marble-like countertop! The wallpapered backs of the open shelving! Then there are those metallic bars that effortlessly hold the mugs.
What we love most about this storage method is that it keeps mugs up and out of the way, but doesn't really take up any valuable space. Mounted under the upper cabinets, this is usually space that would be wasted anyway. And it puts pretty ceramics on display.
You can pull off a similar look — on a budget — with these supplies from IKEA.
