Is My Pickle Brine Supposed to Be Cloudy?
Q: I am lacto-fermenting some watermelon rinds and cucumbers.
The brine is looking cloudy the first day. Is that normal?
Editor: Cloudiness is normal, but you do want to make sure the vegetables are submerged in the water and any scum on top is skimmed. Readers, do you agree?
