When food prices reached record highs last year, Aldi gifted shoppers a much-needed lifeline. In the spirit of gratitude, the big-name grocery store offered a full Thanksgiving meal for under $30 — including everything from a tasty butterball turkey to canned pumpkin pie mix. While there’s no word yet if we’ll be getting that same treat this year, the company did announce that shoppers can expect dozens of Thanksgiving items to fall under their 2019 price point this year. And personally, I’m absolutely elated.

With so many ways to save money, it’s natural to wonder if the savings giant will be open on Thanksgiving to get deals on any forgotten essentials. Unfortunately for those wondering, though, the German-based brand will not be open on Thanksgiving Day. They will, however, be open every day leading up to the big day. And with over 100 new items dropping this month alone, there are plenty of reasons to make sure you make a trip (or two!) before Turkey Day settles in.

Although Aldi will be closed on the upcoming holiday, all won’t be lost. If you forget to grab the vanilla for the candied sweet potatoes everyone was looking forward to, there are plenty of other stores that will be open on Thanksgiving to save the day. Like with any holiday, though, you’ll want check for your local store’s specific hours, as some may be on an adjusted schedule. And if this is your first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner, don’t let the stress around preparing enough food take over the day. This simple guide will ensure you’ve made enough food for you and your guests to enjoy — even if you have to make a quick run to the store. Because doing your best is easier when there is less stress!
